Mark the calendar for HRC's seventh annual dinner
Cleveland-The Human Rights Campaign's Cleveland chapter has announced that its seventh annual dinner, a major social and political event among northeastern Ohio's gay and lesbian community, will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2000.
Themed "Outreachout 2000," the dinner has been moved to Executive Caterers at Landerhaven.
"The dinner has enjoyed tremendous growth in its brief history, moving from the
Marriott Key Center to the Renaissance, and now to Landerhaven, said dinner committee co-chair Frank November. "It's a beautiful facility for this type of event, and we're excited about the flexibility it affords us for the varied activities the night will hold."
Those activities will include a grand reception, silent and live auctions, dinner program and HRC Cleveland's first on-site "after party." This brand new feature will include four additional hours of music and

"We had great feedback from people who've attended past dinners, saying that they'd like the opportunity to ‘party on' with friends," said co-chair Anne Duli. "Instead of splitting up, and heading to different clubs or people's homes, we can enjoy that additional time together right Landerhaven."

Award is given annually to a person or organization that CAMPAIGN has demonstrated long term. leadership and commitment to the gay and lesbian community in Cleveland and Ohio. This year's honoree is P-FLAG, Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays of Akron and Cleveland, recognizing the parents, family and friends whose support and advocacy have demonstrated their commitment to equality for all people.
Since 1994, HRC's Cleveland dinner has experienced consistent growth; it is now one of the largest HRC dinners in the nation, and one of Cleveland's largest fundraisers. Nearly 1,000 supporters attended the 1999 dinner,
The Human Rights Campaign is the largest national lesbian and gay political organization in the United States. The 300,000 members of HRC support its vision of an America where lesbian and gay people are ensured basic rights and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work, and in the community. HRC members, whether gay or not, work to secure equal rights for all.
